Nicholasville needed a little something. Something fun. Something new. Something it didn't even know it needed or even wanted..... A yarn shop! Our goal at A Tangled Yarn is to bring a little bit of luxury wether it be fine yarns or fabulous fibers to local knitters, crocheters, felters, and spinners. A little something for the fiberista in us all! Driving Directions: From Lexington (we are about 7-8 miles South of Fayette Mall) Take US-27 South. Turn left onto Main Street. Drive a little over 1 mile and turn right onto High Street at the first yellow caution light. A Tangled Yarn is the second building on the right. Look for us in the little red metal barn. A Fred Cat approved activity........ Not sure if you have heard or not, but A Tangled Yarn has teamed up with Sarabees Little Yarn Shop to knit blocks for afghans that will then be given to those who were affected by the tornados in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The plan is to start with West Liberty and radiate the warmth from there:) Can you help us? We need squares/blocks that are 7” x 9” with properly woven in tails. If you are not sure about how to weave in the tails, leave a 6” length to the tail and we will be more than happy to do this for you:) Squares must be made from acrylic as it is machine washable and dry-able.
